OUR FLAVOURHOOD TOURS GUIDES

Savannah – Admin Extraordinaire
I have been working in kitchens since I was 14 years old, but after starting the Bachelor of Food Studies at William Angliss, I left the kitchen to pursue food justice. While I may not like to be up the front guiding our tours, I love doing all the behind the scenes work (and there’s lots of it!) When I’m not working for Flavourhood Tours, I am coordinating volunteers at a regional food hub and mobilising students for Just Food Collective.

Lara – Flavourhood Tours Guide
I’m originally from Tasmania and have lived in Melbourne, Edinburgh, London and have been back in Melbourne for the last 6 years. I tend to base my holidays around food and national parks and spend my free time exploring the best of Northside eats. I’m an avid cook and enjoy experimenting on my family with different styles of food, while my husband does the wine and craft beer matching. My day job is in financial services so food is definitely my creative outlet and I especially love being a Flavourhood Tours Guide!

Claire – Flavourhood Tours Guide
After returning from my European travels back in 2006 (ahhh those were the days!), I set about combining my passion for food, wine and travel into a career. 15 years later, I am proud to have worked for some incredible brands and talented people in the media, advertising and events space, including Gourmet Traveller, BBC Australian Good Food and Food & Wine Victoria, creators of Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. I love discovering new foods, meeting new people and like most born and bred Melbournians, am always on the hunt for that perfect coffee hit that’s why I wanted to become a Flavourhood Tour Guide!
